Take streetcar lines 1, 2 and 3 to the Taubenmarkt stop.

From there it’s about a 5 minute walk. There's plenty of parking in the area around the museum as well as in the museum garage. Handicapped equipment (entrance and elevator at the rear of the building).

Entrance via Elisabethst., exit at Dametzstr. The “culture tariff” provides a special fee for museum visitors:

first and second half hour EUR 1.00 each

third to sixth half hour EUR 0.50 each

seventh and eight half hour EUR 0.40 each

every further half hour EUR 0.30

The 24-hour fee is EUR 10.00

When visiting the museum between 6:00 pm and 1:00 am, the parking fee is EUR 3.00.

Auto, bus:

From Vienna or Salzburg: Take the Knoten Linz exit on the Westautobahn (A1), continue on the A7 toward Freistadt, before the autobahn bridge: Take the Hafenstraße/Untere Donaulände exit, turn right on Hafenstraße und continue straight on Untere Donaulände, continue straight under the Nibelungen bridge (Obere Donaulände), at the 2^nd light after the bridge turn left into the Römerberg tunnel, at the 1^st light turn left into Klammstraße, take the 1st left onto the Promenade, take the second right (dead end), entrance to Castle Museum on left.

From Freistadt on the A7, after the autobahn bridge: Take the Hafenstraße/Untere Donaulände exit, turn right on Hafenstraße und continue straight on Untere Donaulände, continue straight under the Nibelungen bridge (Obere Donaulände), at the 2nd light after the bridge turn left into the Römerberg tunnel, at the 1st light turn left into Klammstraße, take the 1st left onto the Promenade, take the second right (dead end), entrance to Castle Museum on left.

Train and streetcar:

From Linz main train station, streetcar toward Zentrum (lines 1, 2 and 3), get off at Hauptplatz stop, take Hofgasse (on left next to Oberbank) always straight ahead via the steps to the Castel Museum.

Bicycle:

From Hauptplatz into Hofgasse (on left next to Oberbank), take first left (Hahnengasse) onto the Alter Markt, turn left next to the Markthalle to Tummelplatz, take ramp to the Castel Museum. 

Auto, bus:

From Vienna or Salzburg, take the Knoten Linz exit on the Westautobahn (A1), continue toward Freistadt, take Dornach exit, turn left at 1^st light, turn right at 1^st light, turn left across from Penny grocery store, continue straight to number 73.

Train and streetcar:

From Linz main train, take streetcar line 1 or 2 toward the Universität, get off at Dornach stop, walk to left on Johann Wilhelm Klein Str., turn left across from Penny grocery store, straight to number 73.

Bicycle

Exit Donaulände on the Urfahr side at the turnoff toward McDonalds, take bicycle path about 500 m to the turnoff with the wayside shrine, turn right, take bicycle path to Johann-Wilhelm-Klein-Str., turn left, turn left across from Penny grocery store, straight to number 73.
