For decades the Upper Austrian Provincial Museums have striven to also offer handicapped visitors an appropriate programme. It is a great concern of ours to make the museum visit an experience for handicapped persons, too.

The tours and workshops in the different buildings are designed particularly with the sense of touch in mind and lightened up with games. In this way it is easy to co-ordinate each concept with the individual needs of handicapped visitors with feedback.

A version of the current homepage for the blind is also in preparation.

The buildings of the Upper Austrian Provincial Museums are equipped for the handicapped as follows:

- Upper Austrian State Gallery: Lift at the rear of the building (south side)

- Castle Museum of Linz: Lift and handicapped WC

- Biology Centre: Handicapped WC on ground floor
