From Vienna or Salzburg as well as Freistadt, see *: Exit at Knoten Linz on the West Autobahn – Continue on the A7 toward Freistadt – *: Exit at Hafenstr./Untere Donaulände – right on Hafenstr. and continue straight on Untere Donaulände – go straight under the Nibelung bridge (Obere Donaulände) – turn left at the 2^nd light into the Römerberg Tunnel – turn left at the 1^st light into Klammstr. – turn left at the first street into the Promenade – turn right at the 2^nd street (dead end) – driveway to Castle Museum is on the left.

Train and streetcar:

From Linz main train station, streetcar toward Zentrum (lines 1, 2 and 3), get off at Hauptplatz stop, take Hofgasse (on left next to Oberbank) always straight ahead via the steps to the Castel Museum.

Bicycle:

From the Hauptplatz (main square) enter the Hofgasse (to the left of the Oberbank) – take 1^st street on left (Hahengasse) into the Alter Markt – turn left into Tummelplatz next to market hall – take ramp to Castle Museum.
